I like to do stuff sometimes. But I feel like I get really into some stuff for only a short time before I suddenly change to different stuff.
For example, my most recent Minecraft phase lasted a couple months earlier in the year, but then I suddenly stopped. Similarly, I can get really into a TV show, binge-watching the first 4 seasons, but then while waiting for season 5, I'll completely forget about it and never finish it. I've still never finished The Americans ðŸ˜
I've had a Pokemon Go phase, a dnd phase, an Orna phase, a self-hosting phase (ongoing), various Studying Japanese phases, an Elder Scrolls Online phase, a jogging phase, and a Sims 3 phase, among others. I feel like I'm a bit all over the shop.
It's fine for interests to change, but at the same time, I do think it is good to have some things that are sustainable for the long term, especially things that are good for me.
I'm very good at sticking to bad habits, but not so great at sticking with good habits, including hobbies and interests.
For example, I'm really bad at sticking with this blog! This is not a good post, but I'm gonna post it as a habit-forming step in keeping up with my blog 😊
